Quick Reminder - Privacy Policy

Quick Reminder - Privacy Policy

Last updated: 7 November 2026

Quick Reminder is a small personal reminder tool for Windows. It can optionally copy your upcoming reminders to a calendar in your own Google Calendar, so that they also alert you on your Android phone. This page explains what that connection does with your data.

What the app accesses

When you choose to connect to Google, the app asks for a single permission: https://www.googleapis.com/auth/calendar.app.created. This permission only lets the app create and manage a calendar that it creates itself, named "Quick Reminder". It cannot see, read, change or delete any of your other calendars or events.

What the app does with it

  • It creates one calendar named "Quick Reminder" in your Google account.
  • It adds, updates and removes events in that calendar so they match the reminders you set in the app. Each event contains the reminder text and its date and time.
  • It does nothing else with your Google data.

Where your data is stored

Your reminders are stored on your own computer. The sign-in token that lets the app reach your Quick Reminder calendar is stored on your own computer, encrypted for your Windows account. The app has no server of its own: your reminders and sign-in details are sent only between your computer and Google, never to the developer or to any other party.

Sharing

We do not collect, sell, share or transfer your data to anyone. We do not use it for advertising and no person reads it.

Google API Services User Data Policy

The use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Your choices

  • In the app, open "Google Calendar sync" and click Disconnect. This revokes the app's access and removes the stored sign-in from your computer.
  • You can also remove the app's access at any time at myaccount.google.com/permissions.
  • To remove the synced events, delete the "Quick Reminder" calendar in Google Calendar.
